Features

High Performance

R1Soft runs in the background, and works rapidly to replicate your data on RAID-protected, highly optimized backup clusters, therefore reducing the impact on your server.

Easy to use

Installing the R1Soft Agent on your server takes no more than five minutes. You can manage and monitor your backups via the R1Soft Backup manager at any time.

Data Replication

Define your backup policy interval; for example, every 15 minutes, or every hour, or every 24 hours. Then define how many recovery points you need to retain.

Data Encryption

Your backups can be encrypted with a secret key, without which they cannot be restored. This encryption feature adds a secondary layer of security and proves assurance.

Linux or Windows

The R1Soft agent runs on almost any Linux distribution including Red Hat, CentOS and Debian, as well as Windows Server. Virtualized servers are also supported.

Bare-metal Restore

Bare-metal Restore is a high-performance alternative to legacy file restoration solutions. This works by bypassing the file system, and instead streams blocks directly to the disk.

Backups are crucial

Regardless of the nature of your website, backups can make the difference between a complete disaster, and a minor inconvenience. Incremental backups are done at the block level instead of the file level.

Block level backup provides several advantages, including the speed of completing a backup operation, a drastic reduction in disk and network I/O, the ability to perform backups as often as every 15 minutes, and no performance penalty for servers that have a large number of files.

Powered by R1Soft

Like traditional backups, R1Soft starts by taking a full snapshot of your data. But that's where the similarities end. After the initial replica is created, Server Backup Manager continuously monitors changes to your data and saves only those bits of information that have changed. Since you're not constantly running full, performance-killing backups, your system's I/O operations aren't taxed in any way, keeping those critical resources free to serve your clients' needs.
